Robert Richardson Jr. Teams Up with TBR at Talladega

Mahindra Tractors to Sponsor the No. 36 Toyota

Concord, N.C. (Oct. 27, 2009) – Robert Richardson Jr. will attempt to qualify for his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway behind the wheel of Tommy Baldwin Racing’s No. 36 Toyota.

“I am really excited to have this opportunity with Tommy Baldwin Racing and Mahindra Tractors,” said Richardson Jr.   “Tommy’s cars always run well at the Superspeedways, and I am confident we will qualify into the race on time.  My goal is to run clean, avoid wrecks and come home with a solid finish.  This race is really important in getting approved so I will be eligible to run the Daytona 500.  I just want to thank Tommy Baldwin Racing and Mahindra Tractors for giving me this opportunity.  Talladega is one of my favorite tracks, and I can’t think of a better place to attempt my first Sprint Cup Series start.”

Richardson Jr. has four career starts at the famed Alabama track.  He has posted a top-20 finish in all four outings at the 2.66-mile superspeedway.  The 26-year-old driver has completed 98 percent of the laps he has attempted and has led one lap around the monstrous track.

Mahindra Tractors will appear as the primary sponsor of the No. 36 Toyota as they attempt to run all 188 laps this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.
